Puri, July 3: With only three days left for the world-famous Rath Yatra, the Raj Prasad Bije Niti ritual will be held at Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri today.
On the auspicious occasion of Dwadashi, the Rajprasad Bijay ritual of the deities will be conducted. After the morning rituals at Jagannath Temple, the Jay-Vijay doors will be closed, and the Beheran doors will be opened, allowing the Rajprasad Bijay to proceed from the temple to the Shri Nahara (Royal Palace).
Yesterday, on Ekadashi, the deities were adorned with a special Khali and Raktabastra. They were offered Dasamula Modak today. The ailing deities are treated with Dasamula, prepared from Ayurvedic herbal roots by the Royal Physician (Rajvaidya) of the temple, until they recover fully.
This Dasamularista has been prepared at the Royal Physician’s house with great dedication and sanctity. It is then deposited at the Garada of the Srimandir and offered to the deities on Ekadashi, along with other offerings. Now, as the deities have fully recovered, this information was conveyed to the Gajapati Maharaja.
As a token of divine grace, the Daitapati and Vidyapati will carry sacred items like Karala, Chandan, and Patabastra from the temple to the Trinity.
