Bhubaneswar, September 18: The Indian Railways has decided to augment additional coaches in five pairs of trains on temporary basis, for the convenience of passengers, said an official release on Friday.
As per an East Coast Railway (ECoR) statement, one sleeper class coach will be attached to Howrah to Puri Express (Train No. 12837) from September 20 to 25 while Shalimar to Puri Express (Train No. 18039) will also be augmented with one Sleeper Class coach on September 20.
Similarly, one third AC coach will be attached to Shalimar to Charlapalli Express (Train No. 18045) from September 19 to 25 while Santragachi to Yelahanka Express (Train No. 18063) will be augmented with one Third AC coach on September 24.
Further, Rourkela to Jagdalpur Express (Train No. 18107) will be augmented with one sleeper class coach on September 19 and 20.
The temporary augmentation of coaches will provide additional berths to passengers travelling on these important routes and help accommodate the growing travel demand during the period, the ECoR said.
