Lucknow, July 9: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will embark on a one-day visit to Raebareli on Tuesday, marking his first visit to his constituency after becoming the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Party sources have indicated that Rahul Gandhi will arrive at Fursatganj airport and head directly to Bhuemau Guest House. During his visit, he will meet with various delegations representing different sections of society, as well as local residents and party leaders.
"Besides meeting delegations, party members, and the public, he may undertake an unannounced visit within the constituency," stated Pankaj Tiwari, president of the district Congress committee in Raebareli.
A senior party leader mentioned that there is also a tentative plan for Rahul Gandhi to meet with district officials in Raebareli, though this has yet to be confirmed.
Additionally, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to meet with the family of the late Captain Anshuman Singh, who demonstrated exceptional bravery and saved three lives during the Siachen fire in July 2023. Captain Singh was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra by President Droupadi Murmu.
