Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: A first-year LLB student from a private law university in Bhubaneswar, hailing from Jharkhand, has filed a complaint against her seniors for ragging at the Bharatpur police station. She alleges that she suffered severe ragging by three senior students in her hostel, resulting in multiple injuries from February 14 to 16. The victim claims she was physically assaulted and accused of practicing witchcraft due to her origin.
Following the ordeal, she sought medical attention, revealing shoulder tissue rupture, injured teeth, and a punctured chin. Despite bringing the matter to her university's disciplinary committee on February 20, the accused seniors failed to attend the hearing. Consequently, she resorted to filing a complaint with the Bharatpur police.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the allegations, although no arrests have been made thus far.
