Puri, Dec 12: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the highly anticipated eco retreat at Konark, for the 2025-26 season today. The retreat, located on the picturesque Chandrabhaga beach in Konark, promises a luxurious and immersive experience for visitors, featuring 70 luxury tents designed to offer a "glamping" experience.

The eco retreat provides five-star-like facilities, including food, accommodations, and night stays. It offers a blend of nature and luxury, with a range of accommodations such as deluxe cottages, premium cottages, presidential villas, and royal cottages. Prices for the cottages range from Rs 5,400 to Rs 30,000 per night, depending on the type of accommodation chosen.

The retreat will be available to tourists until March 12, 2026. Activities available at the retreat include watersports, parasailing, cycling, beach volleyball, yoga, and beach shacks. Visitors will also enjoy two bars and conference hall facilities.

The inauguration event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, MLAs from Puri district, and senior state government officials. The Tourism Department had previously launched eco retreats at six other scenic locations across Odisha, including Bhitarkanika, Satkosia, Hirakud, Daringbadi, Sonapur, and Putsil, for the 2025-26 season.
