A few hours to it, Sheela’s mortal remains were brought to the News7 office, paid a tearful adieu by the Summa Real Media Private Ltd. officials and staffers, and sent off, for the Puri Swargadwara for cremation.

Here, Gagun stood firm on his duty towards the departing mother, elongated the ultimate cotton-thread lamp meant for her mother as a customary rite, with his tiny hands, lit the pyre- then dedicated a number of flying kisses to her.

The grieving scene made the onlookers, including the bereaved kith & kins that had been there for the last rites of their dear ones, to stand & stare like stones & statues, witnessing the lone boy, having nobody of his own, to take care or lend the lap.
