Puri: District administration intensifies security ahead of Panchuka

Puri, Nov 14:Puri district administration has readied basic amenities and beefed up security in Shreekhestra Puri for the visitors, ahead of the Panchuka, since tomorrow. In order to ease public darshan during the five-day long ‘Panchuka’ in the holy month of Kartika, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and district authorities have made elaborate arrangements inside the temple complex. {"id":123189,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} Similarly, police have adopted a three-tier security system in the whole town to control the crowd and ensure ease darshan amid strict adherence to the Covid-19 protocols. As many as 20 platoons of armed forces are deployed for crowd control and to address untoward situations in and around the shrine. At the same time, barricade systems have been intensified to check the access of the common devotees into the Shree Jagannath temple during special occasions and rituals.
