Cuttack, June 2: An unclaimed body, who was one of the victims of the Puri Chandan Yatra fire tragedy, is rotting in the SCB Medical College & Hospital Cuttack.
The SCB authorities are hurried for disposal of the body, identified as of Dibyaranjan Sahu, son of Dusmant Sahu, as it is lying unclaimed in the hospital mortuary from June 1.
Hospital sources said that Dibyaranjan was undergoing treatment in the ICU of the SCB’s Plastic Surgery Department as he was received cent percent charred. However, he succumbed to his burn injuries on Saturday whereas nobody from his family or relatives turned up his ward to enquire about him. Thus, the SCB authorities have issued public notice to inform the legitimate claimants to receive the body at the earliest otherwise; it will be legally disposed of.
