Kota, Nov 27: A major fire broke out at an electric vehicle showroom in Kota, Rajasthan, on Wednesday morning, resulting in the destruction of more than 50 electric vehicles, police reported.

The fire is believed to have been caused by a short circuit, which quickly spread across the showroom, engulfing several electric bikes and scooters. Four fire engines from the Kota fire department were rushed to the site, and firefighters battled the blaze for over an hour to bring it under control. They also managed to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.

Footage from the scene showed fire personnel working tirelessly to control the flames, while onlookers helped salvage half-burnt electric vehicles from the showroom in an attempt to limit the damage. Despite these efforts, many of the electric two-wheelers were completely destroyed by the fire.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported. Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. Further details are expected as the investigation unfolds.
