Nuapada, Nov 11: BJP candidate Jay Dholakia is all set to secure a landslide victory in the Nuapada by-election in Odisha, holding a commanding lead of over 83,002 votes after the 25rd round of vote counting.
According to the latest updates, Jay Dholakia secured a total of 1,20,466 votes, while Congress' Ghasiram Majhi is in second place with 39,085 votes. BJD's Snehangini Chhuria follows in third with 37,464 votes.
One more round of vote counting is left following which the final result will be officially declared.
Meanwhile, Dholakia shared a heartwarming picture with his wife, children, and mother, celebrating his much-anticipated victory. In the photo, his wife is seen holding a mobile phone displaying the image of Jay Dholakia’s father and former Nuapada MLA Rajendra Dholakia.
