Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: Odisha Police SI Scam mastermind Shankar Prusti is now under the custody of Odisha Crime Branch.

Prusti, after being nabbed from the India-Nepal border on Saturday, have been brought to Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

According to the Crime Branch sources, Prusti arrived in Bhubaneswar in the morning, who was escorted to the Crime Branch office for interrogation.

With a significant development in the investigation of Police SI Recruitment Scam, Odisha Crime Branch nabbed the Mastermind of the case Shankar Parida on Saturday.

According to the Crime Branch sources, Parida was apprehended from the India-Nepal border near Uttarakhand today, while he was about to fleeing abroad, to evade the legal whip.

Worth mentioning, Shankar Parida is said to be the mastermind behind the high profile job fraud.He allegedly planned to drill the SI question papers at Hyderabad and Digha in West Bengal among hundreds of aspirants, for huge sum approx Rs 25L from each. However, his venture failed and came to the limelight after as many as 114 candidates were picked from a bus leaving for Hyderabad, near Andhra-Odisha border.
