Puri, Mar 2: Pramod Kumar Mishra, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, paid a visit to the Jagannath temple in Puri on Friday night. During his visit, Mishra offered prayers to the Trinity and engaged in discussions with officials regarding the Parikrama project. Following his darshan, Mishra was felicitated by the district administration, and he also partook in Mahaprasad before departing from the temple premises. Mishra took the opportunity to review the progress of the Parikrama project and interacted with several devotees during his visit. Accompanying Mishra were notable figures including the Srimandir chief administrator, district collector, and superintendent of police.
Speaking to the media after his visit, Mishra expressed satisfaction with the overall development of Srimandir. He remarked, "It has been a while since I last visited the Jagannath temple. I am pleased to see the significant improvements and developmental activities undertaken for the convenience of devotees over the years."
