New Delhi, Sept 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating his 75th birthday today, marking a significant milestone in his life and leadership. Born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, a small town in Mehsana district, North Gujarat, PM Modi’s journey has been one of transformational change for India.

On this special occasion, the Central government is launching two key initiatives: the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (Healthy Women, Empowered Families Campaign) and the Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month). In a bid to improve public health, AIIMS Delhi will also organize medical check-up camps at four centers across the country.

PM Modi is set to visit Madhya Pradesh today to officially inaugurate both campaigns, which aim to promote wellness and improve nutrition across the country. This forms part of a wider government drive to foster better healthcare and empower families with improved nutrition and healthcare access.

In a show of global camaraderie, PM Modi received birthday wishes from US President Donald Trump, who commended the Indian leader’s efforts towards strengthening ties between the two nations. In a post on social media platform X, Modi thanked President Trump and reiterated India’s commitment to deepening the India-US Comprehensive Global Partnership, while supporting Washington’s initiatives to resolve the ongoing Ukraine conflict peacefully.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his warm wishes to PM Modi, praising his leadership and the bold reforms he has led. Naidu described Modi as “the right leader at the right time,” highlighting his vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.

In a fitting tribute, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is organizing a 15-day nationwide campaign titled Seva Pakhwada to celebrate Modi’s birthday. The campaign will include blood donation drives, cleanliness initiatives, and exhibitions that showcase the achievements of the central government. Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized that the campaign reflects the country’s commitment to service and development, with various infrastructure projects worth ₹1,600 crore being inaugurated in New Delhi to coincide with the celebrations.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also took to social media to praise Modi’s leadership. She called him a “trailblazer of a developed India,” highlighting his efforts in improving the lives of marginalized communities and positioning India as the world’s fastest-growing economy.

In Ahmedabad, PM Modi’s hometown, celebrations began early, with a vibrant display of flowers forming a map of India and Garba dance performances in Maninagar. BJP leaders, including MLA Amul Bhatt and Councillor Karan Bhatt, participated in the festivities, symbolizing the unity and energy surrounding the occasion.

This momentous day marks not just the birthday of India's Prime Minister but also the spirit of service, development, and empowerment that his leadership has come to embody. As PM Modi enters his 75th year, his vision for a prosperous, self-reliant India continues to inspire millions.
