Prez Murmu, Odisha CM Mohan Majhi wish people on Raja

Bhubaneswar, June 14: President Droupadi Murmu, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan extended warm greetings to people on the occasion of Raja festival which began today.

President Murmu took to her official ‘X’ handle and wrote, “My sincere greetings to my dear countrymen on the occasion of Raja. The people of Odisha celebrate this festival with sweets, cakes and paan. On the occasion of this agricultural Raja festival, I wish happiness, peace and prosperity to the people of the state and country.”

Wishing people of the state on his ‘X’ handle, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi wrote, “My very best wishes to the people of Odisha on the occasion of Pahili Raj. May this unique festival of Odisha culture and tradition bring joy and happiness to everyone's life.”

Similarly, former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also extended wishes on the occasion and wrote, “Heartiest greetings and congratulations to all on the occasion of Odisha Ganparb Raja. May this Raj festival, a unique symbol of our orthodox culture and tradition, fill everyone's life with joy and happiness.”

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan extended greetings to every Odia and wrote: “Best wishes for Raja, the agricultural festival of Odisha. Raja is the unique identity of our Odia Asmita. It’s a unique tradition of worshipping and honouring nature, goddesses and women. I hope this great tradition of connecting with nature further strengthens the brotherhood in society.”
