Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: Financial assistance under the Subhadra Scheme will be disbursed today to 457,681 women, as announced earlier by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida.

Of the total beneficiaries, 178,398 women have been newly included and will receive the first instalment of the scheme. Additionally, 255,265 women who were earlier left out of the first and second instalments have now been covered and will receive both instalments simultaneously.

Meanwhile, following grievance redressal, 24,018 beneficiaries have also been brought under the ambit of the Subhadra Scheme.

An amount of ₹250 crore will be credited directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. To mark the disbursement, the Women and Child Development Department will organise a Subhadra Scheme–related programme at OUAT, Bhubaneswar.
