Angul, Feb 14: A compressed bio-gas (CBG) tanker overturned near Jarpada Chowk in Angul district late last night, prompting authorities to take immediate safety measures due to the presence of flammable gas in the vehicle. The road near the area was blocked to prevent any potential danger from a possible blast, while power supply to the local area was temporarily cut off as a precaution against fire risks.

The tanker, which was en route from Chhattisgarh to Angul, flipped over, causing serious concerns due to the hazardous material it was carrying. Upon receiving the alert, the Jarpada police station quickly arrived at the scene, cordoned off both sides of the road, and informed the fire brigade.

Two fire brigades were deployed to the location to secure the area, as the tanker contained highly flammable and dangerous gas. A CBG technical team also arrived at the site and has begun an investigation into the incident.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure no further risks to public safety.
