
Cuttack, Oct 9: Early this morning, a disturbing incident unfolded in the Mahanga region of Cuttack district, Odisha. More than 20 individuals and three cows were attacked and bitten by a rabid dog across the Nahanga, Podamara, and Haldia panchayats in the Mahanga block.
The victims are currently undergoing treatment at the Mahanga Community Health Center, while several with serious injuries have been transferred to a major hospital in Cuttack. Despite medical efforts, attacks by the mad dog continue, spreading fear throughout the area.
The ongoing threat has led to long queues at the health center as residents rush to receive anti-rabies vaccinations following dog bite incidents.
Authorities are urging vigilance as they work to control the situation and ensure public safety.
