Bhubaneswar, Nov 20: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive on a three-day official visit to Odisha today.
She is set to arrive in Rairangpur and will participate in various events during her three-day visit.
Upon reaching Rairangpur in the afternoon, she will take part in a conference and literary festival organized by the Santali Writers’ Association at Sahid Smruti Bhawan in Baripada town on Monday. Additionally, the President will inaugurate the Ekalavya model residential school in Kuliana, Mayurbhanj, on the same day.
The President will attend a program to launch a skill development center in Khililpur, Safarghar, and later visit SLS School. Following this, she will inaugurate the upgraded Rairangpur Sub Divisional Post Office.
Traveling to Rairangpur by train, the President will then visit Burla in Sambalpur at 1:20 pm on November 21. On the second day of her visit, President Murmu will inaugurate three express trains and travel from Badampahad to Rairangpur by train.
On November 22, the President will participate in a program at Prajapita Brahma Kumari’s Iswariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. She will depart from Jharsuguda Airport to Delhi on the morning of November 22.
In preparation for President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Odisha, Inspector General of Police (IGP)-Eastern Range, Himanshu Kumar Lal, reviewed the security arrangements.
A meeting involving the Reserve Police Force (RPF) and district police personnel, with about 56 platoons of police force, including special police teams, has been deployed for the President's security.
The meeting took place at the local stadium in Rairangpur town, Mayurbhanj district, and the IGP-Eastern Range also met with Mayurbhanj Superintendent of Police (SP) S Susree earlier in the day.
