President Droupadi Murmu to visit Odisha, hometown

Bhubaneswar, Nov 19: President Droupadi Murmu will be on a four-day visit to Odisha from December 3-7, 2024. She will go to her hometown Rairangpur.
During her visit, Prez Murmu will interact with locals, visit significant sites, and inaugurate key infrastructure projects.
As per her itinerary, she will begin her trip with an arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on December 3. During her visit, she will participate in a series of events and engagements in both Bhubaneswar and Puri.
On December 6, she will travel to Rairangpur by special helicopter from Kolkata’s Defense Airbase. There, she will visit Upperbeda Government High School, her alma mater, where she will meet with students and teachers. Following this, she will have lunch at her residence in Rairangpur before inaugurating an ambulance at the local hospital.
The President will also visit Rairangpur Women’s College, where she will engage with students and faculty members, before offering prayers at the Puneswar Mahadev Temple. She will spend the night at her residence in Rairangpur.
The following day, on December 7, President Murmu will meet with local residents in the morning. She will then proceed to Bangiriposhi Airport, where she will inaugurate three new railway lines: Bangiriposhi-Gorumahisani, Buramara-Chakulia, and Badampahar-Keonjhar Road. Additionally, she will lay the foundation stones for several key projects, including the Tribal Research Centre, the Bangiriposhi Airport, and an upgraded hospital, all via video conferencing.
After concluding her visit to Odisha, President Murmu will return to Delhi on a special flight departing from Kolkata’s Defense Airbase.
