Rourkela, Ap 21: President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Rourkela today to inaugurate several key development initiatives aimed at boosting the city’s infrastructure and cultural landscape. The President is expected to arrive in the Steel City at approximately 11:05 a.m.
During her visit, President Murmu will inaugurate the Rourkela One Project at Civil Township, which features an Integrated Command and Control Centre, a tribal museum, and an auditorium. Additionally, she will virtually inaugurate a mega recreational park at Koel Nagar and a planetarium at Chhend Colony, expanding the city’s recreational and educational facilities.
The President will also meet representatives from various organizations at the Panposh Circuit House before departing at around 4:05 p.m.
Elaborate arrangements have been made by the district administration and Rourkela Municipal Corporation, including a multi-layered security setup. Senior police officials have reviewed the preparedness to ensure a smooth and safe visit.
Cultural programs are scheduled throughout the day, with participation expected from over 100,000 people, including a significant number of students from Sundargarh district.
President Murmu’s visit is seen as a significant boost to Rourkela’s ongoing development and community engagement efforts.
