Puri, July 8: After attending the world-famous Rath Yatra, President Droupadi Murmu went for a morning walk at Puri Sea Beach on Monday.
Amid tight security, President Murmu spent few time at the beach.
As per reports, people in large numbers gathered a few meters away from the beach to get a glimpse of the President as people were barred from entering the beach during Murmu’s morning walk.
Notably, President Murmu, who is on a four-day visit to Odisha for the Rath Yatra, arrived at Puri Grand Road to have darshan of the Lord Jagannath and his siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra as the two-day Rath Yatra began on Sunday.
As per the schedule, President Murmu will return to Bhubaneswar today and visit the Khandagiri and Udaygiri caves in the afternoon. She will also interact with students at Bibhuti Kanungo College of Arts and Crafts and attend an event at Divine Retreat Centre in Mendhashala Haridamada locality in the afternoon.
On July 9, the President will attend the 13th Convocation of the National Institute of Science Education and Research Centre (NISER) in Jatni before departing for New Delhi.
