Baripada, June 20: President Droupadi Murmu celebrated her 68th birthday on Saturday in her native district of Mayurbhanj, Odisha. Having arrived in the district on Friday, the President marked the occasion by interacting with local residents and distributing chocolates among children.
A heartwarming moment unfolded when President Murmu, after receiving birthday greetings from well-wishers outside her residence at Mahuldiha, chose not to immediately board her vehicle. Instead, she personally crossed the road and handed chocolates to children gathered to greet her.

Born on June 20, 1958, in Uparbeda village near Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district, Droupadi Murmu hails from a Santhal tribal family.
