Bhubaneswar, June 25: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today advised officials to prepare a people-centric budget. He made this suggestion during a review of the Planning & Convergence Department's activities.
Majhi emphasized that the new government must meet the high expectations of the people, which should be evident in the State Plan budget.
He highlighted the importance of ensuring that government schemes effectively reach the grassroots level so that the benefits are fully realized by the people.
He stressed the proper utilization of the mineral fund, directing the establishment of trauma care centers in mineral-bearing districts with the fund's help.
Majhi particularly emphasized setting up trauma care centers at the medical colleges in these districts.
In line with his party's election manifesto, Majhi directed the Department to submit proposals for constituting the North Odisha Development Council and South Odisha Development Council after forming a task force and conducting a thorough study.
Development Commissioner Anu Garg, along with other senior officials from the Planning and Convergence Department, briefed the Chief Minister on the Department's activities and programs in detail.
