Preity Zinta shares heartwarming moments with her twins, Reflects on cricket memories & upcoming film comeback

Mumbai, April 18: Actress Preity Zinta, currently away from home due to her commitments with the Indian Premier League (IPL), gave fans a sweet glimpse into her life as a mom. Taking to Instagram, Preity posted an adorable photo with her twins, Jai and Gia, expressing just how much she’s missing them. In the picture, she holds her little ones close as they plant kisses on her cheeks—faces hidden with heart emojis—while she beams with a bright, joyful smile.

“Home is where the heart is, & right now, I’m definitely missing home! Counting the days before I see them,” she wrote in the caption.

Preity and her husband, Gene Goodenough, tied the knot in 2016. In 2021, the couple welcomed their twins via surrogacy—Jai, their son, and Gia, their daughter.

On April 17, the actress also took a nostalgic turn, sharing her long-standing connection with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Posting a then-and-now series of photos on Instagram, she looked back at their first meeting in 2009 during the Kings Cup in Chandigarh.

“How it started vs. how it’s going,” she began. “I met Yuzi during the Kings Cup in 2009. I was new to cricket; he was a young U-19 cricketer.”

Over the years, Preity watched Chahal grow into a formidable talent in Indian cricket. “I loved his competitive attitude and always wanted him on our team, but somehow the stars never aligned… until now!”

Praising his recent standout performance in IPL 2025 against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Mullanpur, she continued, “Our last game was a great example of why I’ve been such a fan of Yuzi all these years. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. I’m so happy to finally have you back where you belong, @yuzi_chahal23. Always want to see you smiling and shining. Ting!”

On the film front, fans of Preity Zinta have something big to look forward to—her return to Bollywood in Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming period drama Lahore 1947. The film stars Sunny Deol in the lead and promises to transport audiences to a powerful era in history, marking an exciting new chapter in Preity's career.
