Bhubaneswar, December 3:The Commissionerate Police has put in place robust security measures for the upcoming India-South Africa T20 match at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on December 9. Tickets for the match will first be available to OCA-affiliated organizations on December 3 and 4, with 11,000 tickets being distributed. The general public can begin purchasing tickets on December 5 at 10 AM.

To ensure safety and prevent any disruptions, the police have deployed 40 platoons of forces, with 28 platoons on duty per shift. The team includes 6 Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police (ADCPs), 15 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), 40 Inspectors, and 150 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) and Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs). To curb black marketing, 50 CCTV cameras will be installed at the ticket counters, all connected to a central control room.

In addition to security, a medical team and fire brigade will remain on standby throughout the event. Comprehensive security arrangements have been made for the teams' arrival, practice sessions, and accommodations, including secure transportation from the airport to the hotel.

Police Commissioner S. Devdutt Singh presided over a preparedness meeting to ensure the match is conducted smoothly. The Indian and South African teams are scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar on December 7, with a practice session at Barabati Stadium the following day. The Commissionerate Police has organized tight security for both teams' arrivals at the airport, their stay at the hotel, and travel between the hotel and stadium, ensuring a peaceful and secure T20 match.
