In order to give impetus to PM Vishwakarma Scheme and to create further awareness among the participants and publicity of the scheme, UCO Bank, Convenor, SLBC, Odisha has organised an awareness workshop on 23-08-2024 at Guru KelucharanMohapatra, Odissi Research Centre, Bhubaneswar.
Bank officials, Lead District Managers, GM, DICs, PM Vishwakarma Trainers, PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries and Senior executives of related departments of Central & State Govt. participated in the meeting.
At the outset Sri GoutamPatra, GM & Convenor, SLBC, Odisha welcomed all the participants and gave a brief introduction of the scheme. Sri D. Prasanth Kumar Reddy (IAS), Director of Industries highlighted the importance and benefits of the scheme. He also told that, the intention of the Govt. to support the artisans and craftmans for improvement of the quality as well as reach of their products and services to ensure that the Vishwakarma are integrated into the domestic and global value chains.
Sri Mahesh Kumar Choudhury, Special Secretary, MSME Department, Dr.PragyansmitaSahoo, Director, Institutional Finance,Finance Department, Govt. of Odisha, Smt. PriyankaMallick, Deputy Commissioner, BMC, Sri P.K Gupta, Joint Director & HOO, MSME-DFO, Sri B. Ravi, Joint Director of Regional Directorate, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship has joined as Guest of Honour and shared their view points.
In the workshop the scheme details and registration process of the scheme were elaborated through audio visual mode. The queries of the participants are also answered by the dignitaries. As of 22.08.2024 total 6073 loan applications received by banks after completion of training. Banks have sanctioned 1456 cases and disbursement made in 912 cases.
