PPL MD meets Odisha CM, aprises about expansion plan

Bhubaneswar, July 12: Suresh Krishnan, Managing Director of Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at State Guest House on Thursday. He informed the Chief Minister about the Rs 3000 crore expansion project at Paradeep plant. 

The expansion is underway to increase production capacity of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid.

Krishnan informed Chief Minister Majhi that this work will be completed by 2025-26. 

The Chief Minister has asked the PPL officials to ensure proper supply of fertilizers in the state. He advised them to ensure that fertilizers reach all the farmers.

Majhi asked the company officials to focus on fertilizer distribution. 

The Chief Minister said that the facilities for ease of doing business in Odisha should be spread outside the state. 

Notably, PPL has three sulfuric acid manufacturing plants and one large phosphoric acid manufacturing plant.

The company plays an important role in meeting the various fertilizer requirements of the state and the country. It also provides infrastructure for manufacturing, transportation and better supply in Paradeep. 

Bijay Kumar Biswal (CFO) and Head of Corporate Affairs Sudhi Ranjan Mishra were present on this occasion.
