Bhubaneswar, November 15: A police constable was brutally murdered in Boudha district, allegedly due to a past enmity. The shocking incident came to light when local villagers alerted authorities after discovering the crime.

According to the police, the murder took place late Friday night in Balisahi village, under the jurisdiction of Purunakatak Police Station. The accused, who had a long-standing grudge against the constable, reportedly attacked him during a heated argument, leading to his death.

In an attempt to conceal the crime, the assailant dragged the constable's body to the backyard of his home and buried it in a pit behind the house. Police officials have stated that this effort to hide the body is a clear indication of an attempt to destroy evidence.

The murder of a police constable by an acquaintance has stunned the local community. Local Police are now working on a detailed chargesheet, ensuring the accused will face stringent legal action as the investigation progresses.
