Cuttack, Jan 23: Today marks the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a day also observed as "Parakram Divas.” In honor of the occasion, the Netaji Birthplace Museum and the Netaji Memorial in Cuttack, located in the Odia Bazaar area, have been decorated. The Vice President, C.P. Radhakrishnan, will participate in the event at Netaji's residence.

On this day, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, as a distinguished guest, will visit the Birthplace Museum and pay homage to Netaji by offering flowers. Along with him, Governor Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, State Culture Minister Surjyabanshi Suraj, MLA Sofia Firdous, MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi, and Mayor Subhas Singh will be present.

The entire city of Cuttack has been attractively decorated for the event, with the Netaji Museum and Lecture Hall illuminated. According to district administration sources, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Cuttack at 9:15 am. He visited the Netaji Museum in the Odia Bazaar area, where he hoisted the national flag and offered floral tributes at Netaji's statue. Additionally, a new philatelic gallery was inaugurated in the museum. After visiting various galleries in the Netaji Museum, the Vice President unveiled a cultural exhibition organized by the Ministry of Culture at the Lecture Hall.

The Cultural Building will also be inaugurated, and the Vice President will address the gathering at the event. As part of security measures for the Vice President’s program, entry to the museum for the general public will be restricted. Public access to the Netaji Museum will not be allowed between 7 am and 1 pm. However, people will be able to visit before 7 am or after 1 pm to offer their tributes. The trust has issued a notice informing the public about free entry to the museum on Netaji's birth anniversary.
