Police constable found hanging at official quarters in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhadrak, Aug 27: A constable posted at Tihidi police station in Odisha’s Bhadrak district allegedly committed suicide over a suspected family feud late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Tofan Patra, a resident of Anandapur town in Keonjhar district.

As per reports, Tofan was found hanging at his government quarters near Tihidi police station.

Though the exact reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that he might have committed suicide over a family feud.

On getting the information, police rushed to the spot and brought the body down. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.

A probe has been launched into the matter and everything will be clear soon, said the police.
