Bhubaneswar, Sept 14: Ahead of the PM Modi’s Odisha visit scheduled on September 17, SPG contingents from the Home Department on Saturday scanned the security arrangements at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar, where the PM will launch the Subhadra Yojna, a flagship program of the Mohan Mjhi-led Odisha government.
In order to handle the VVIP’s security in the ground, as many as eight officers of the Special Protection Group (SPG) arrived in Bhubaneswar on Thursday to assess the security parameters and essential protocols ahead of the PM’s visit. Since then, they have swung into action in order to eliminate and deal with the security threats, prettily before the PM’s visit.
Meanwhile, in view of the PM’s plethora of programs scheduled in Odisha on the day, a high-level meeting was held at the Lok Seva Bhavan yesterday, chaired by the Chief Secretary, to discuss the preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit.
In the meeting, the DGP, IGP and CP were entrusted with maintaining law and order and overseeing security arrangements.The Khordha District Collector was also directed to make necessary arrangements for the event.
Worth mentioning, the Prime Minister will arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport at 11:35 am on September 17 and attend the programme at Janata Maidan at 11:55 am before flying back to New Delhi at 3 pm.
The PM will transfer the first instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin to the beneficiaries of Odisha during his visit on September 17.
Apart from it, Modi will distribute sanction letters to 10 lakh beneficiaries of various states at a function in Bhubaneswar.
He will also make digital transfer of the first installment of Rs 3180 crore directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries and 26 lakh beneficiaries will be benefited with it.
Apart from it, the “Awas + 2024” app will be unveiled by the Prime Minister, which aims to ensure the allotment of pucca houses by including eligible beneficiaries in the list.
