PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas today: Know the schedule

Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) convention today.
Modi reached Bhubaneswar in a special flight from Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday evening. He was received by new Governor of Odisha Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and others at the airport.
Amid tight security, Modi then proceeded towards Raj Bhavan and stayed there.
At around 10 am, he will reach Janata Maidan to attend the inaugural session of the 18th PBD.
He will also inaugurate four exhibitions and then take a tour of the exhibitions and promotional stalls of Union and state ministries and departments.
He will remain at the convention centre till 1.45 pm. He will also flag-off the inaugural journey of the Pravasi Bharatiya Express.
This is the fourth visit of the PM to Odisha after the general elections.
Worth mentioning, he is also scheduled to visit the state again on January 28 to attend the Utkarsh Odisha Make-in-Odisha Conclave in Bhubaneswar.
