Bhubaneswar, May 5:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Bhubaneswar as part of his two-day visit to Odisha.

He is scheduled to address election rallies in Berhampur and Nabarangpur on Monday.

The state BJP President, Manmohan Samal, along with other party leaders, welcomed PM Modi at the Biju Patnaik International Airport.

Following his arrival, PM Modi proceeded directly to Raj Bhavan in a heavily secured carcade.

He will spend the night at Raj Bhavan before attending the public meetings tomorrow.

The visit is significant as Odisha is gearing up for simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections from May 13 to June 1.

In addition to the rallies in Berhampur and Nabarangpur, PM Modi will return to the state on May 10 for a road show in Bhubaneswar and an election rally in Bolangir.

The Odisha Police have tightened security arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit, ensuring safety from the airport to Raj Bhavan.
