New Delhi, July 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet with prominent economists on Thursday to discuss the Union Budget 2024-25. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present this budget in Parliament on July 23, marking the beginning of the Budget Session from July 22 to August 12.
According to sources, the meeting will include discussions on fiscal strategies and views from economists, industry experts, and Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery. This budget will be the first of Modi's third term in office. Modi returned to New Delhi on Thursday morning following his visit to Russia and Austria.
In her recent address to Parliament, President Droupadi Murmu hinted at significant reforms planned by the government. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has already engaged with various stakeholders, including economists and business leaders, to gather insights for the upcoming budget.
