Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off a MEMU train between Paradeep and Keonjhar via Kendrapara during his Odisha visit on March 5, H S Bajwa, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Khurda Road Division said today.
“The new MEMU train will run in between Paradeep and Keonjhar via Kendrapara,” added the DRM.
The Prime Minister will flag off the MEMU train at Chandikhol in Jajpur district on Tuesday. Senior officials of the Railways have inspected the Paradeep-Haridaspur railway line ahead of the launch of the new MEMU train.
Besides, The Prime Minister will dedicate to nation, 162 Km Bansapani - Daitari - Tomka - Jakhapura Rail Line. It will not only enhance the existing traffic facility's capacity but also facilitates efficient transportation of Iron and Manganese ore from Keonjhar District to the nearest ports and steel plants, significantly contributing to regional economic growth.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 19,600 crore during his Odisha visit.
