Bhubaneswar, May 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been officially invited to attend the world-renowned Ratha Yatra festival in Puri, scheduled for June 27. The invitation was extended by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, marking a significant gesture as the new state government prepares for the annual chariot procession of Lord Jagannath.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida confirmed the development, stating that formal invitations will also be sent to all Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states to participate in the iconic festival.

“The Odisha government is committed to making this year’s Ratha Yatra a grand and inclusive event. We have extended a formal invitation to Prime Minister Modi and will be inviting all NDA leaders to join the celebrations,” said Parida.

The Ratha Yatra, celebrated with grandeur in Puri, draws lakhs of devotees from across the globe and is considered one of the most significant festivals in the Hindu calendar.
