Fans of soulful tunes can enjoy the Samarpan music festival completely free of charge. This cultural celebration focuses entirely on Sufiana and devotional traditions, offering a mesmerizing experience for everyone who admires talented Indian Classical musicians.

Exploring three days of divine performances

Festivities kick off on February 25th with a captivating lineup of artists. Kolkata-based Vidushi Koyel Bhattacharya will open the stage by rendering beautiful devotional tracks and Sufi songs. Following her melodious presentation, the renowned Jenab Ateeq Hussain Khan Bandanawazi and his talented group from Hyderabad will treat the audience to an unforgettable Sufi Qawwali session.

Day two, falling on February 26th, promises equally brilliant musical offerings. Vidushi Rakhi Sen, a celebrated talent hailing from Cuttack, will perform special selections written by Kazi Nazrul Islam, Guru Atul Prosad, and Vishwaguru Rabindranath Tagore. Later that same evening, Vidushi Smita Bellur from Hyderabad will share enchanting Nirgun Bhajans to soothe the soul.

Wrapping up with universal love and brotherhood

Concluding on February 27th, the final day starts with Dr. Priya Kanungo from Bhubaneswar singing heartfelt Meera Bhajans. The grand finale features "Chaar Yaar," a uniquely named musical group. These four friends, who represent different religious backgrounds, will perform moving poetry that celebrates universal brotherhood and love.

Recognizing lifelong dedication to classical arts

Special recognition takes place on the opening day to honour a prominent figure in the arts. Shri Ghanashyam Panda will receive the prestigious Indira Textiles Lifetime achievement award during a brief interlude between the two main musical acts. Created by Sardar Manjit Singh, this annual honour rewards senior artists who have significantly impacted their respective fields. The prize includes a special citation along with a generous cash reward of Rs. 60,000.

This remarkable gathering happens through a strong collaborative effort. SNM Group and the Odia culture department of the Government of Odisha have joined hands to make these Bhubaneswar cultural events a massive success.
