Gandhinagar, November 9: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati visited Gujarat on Sunday and met with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar. The visit was part of his trip to Gujarat, where he attended the "Bharat Parv" celebrations at Ekta Nagar on November 8. The event was organized to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of fostering national unity.

The "Bharat Parv" celebrations, themed "Ekta Prakash Parv", are being held at Ekta Nagar in Narmada district until November 15. The festival showcases India's unity in diversity through cultural performances by artists from across the country. Under the "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat" initiative, the event is a vibrant display of India’s cultural diversity and cross-cultural harmony, with participants from various states fostering mutual appreciation.

Governor Kambhampati attended the celebrations as the Guest of Honour, with artists from Odisha performing at the event. During his visit, the Governor explored the major attractions of Ekta Nagar, including the world-famous Statue of Unity, the Ekta Light Festival, the Sardar Sarovar River Bed Power House, Butterfly Park, Food Court, Handicraft Haat, and the various Theme Pavilions.

Impressed by Gujarat's efforts, Governor Kambhampati lauded Chief Minister Patel's leadership in transforming Ekta Nagar into a world-class tourism destination. He particularly appreciated the excellent arrangements for the artists, artisans, and visitors. The Governor also acknowledged Gujarat’s role in strengthening national unity through its cultural and infrastructural initiatives.

In a gesture of respect, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel presented a memento to Governor Kambhampati. The meeting was attended by Avantika Singh, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, who warmly welcomed the Odisha Governor.
