Bhubaneswar, June 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved a historic milestone by becoming India’s longest-serving continuously elected head of government. On Tuesday, he completed 12 consecutive years, or 4,399 days, in office as Prime Minister.
Marking the occasion, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the Shri Jagannath Temple in New Delhi and offered prayers before the deities for the Prime Minister’s good health and long life.
Speaking to the media, Pradhan said that Prime Minister Modi has dedicated his life to serving the nation. He noted that the Prime Minister’s sole objective has been the welfare of the poor, women, youth, and farmers, along with the overall development of the country through tireless efforts and hard work.
Describing the day as a significant milestone of service and dedication, Pradhan said Modi’s leadership has played a key role in advancing the nation’s growth and development.
The Union Minister also highlighted the Prime Minister’s deep devotion to Lord Jagannath, stating that Modi has long been a devoted follower of the deity. According to Pradhan, Modi’s public life was shaped under the blessings of Lord Jagannath, and his social and organizational journey began years ago at the Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad.
He further said that whenever Modi has had the opportunity to visit Odisha, both before and after becoming Prime Minister, he has consistently sought the blessings of Lord Jagannath.
Praying for the continued blessings of the deity upon the Prime Minister and the people of India, Pradhan expressed confidence that under Modi’s leadership, the country would continue to advance in public service and nation-building. He also voiced hope that India would emerge as a more developed, prosperous, and progressive nation by 2047 under the Prime Minister’s guidance.
