It is worth noting that Milad-un-Nabi, also known as Eid-e-Milad or Mawlid, is a significant festival for Muslims worldwide that marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. Born in Mecca around 570 CE, the Prophet is celebrated for his teachings of compassion, equality, and justice—principles that continue to inspire millions today.
This year, the observance began on Thursday (September 4) and will conclude on Friday, coinciding with the 12th day of Rabi’ al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar.
Milad-un-Nabi is marked by prayers, religious gatherings, and acts of charity. It is a time for reflection, as followers revisit the Prophet’s message of kindness, service to humanity, and harmony. Beyond celebration, the day serves as a powerful reminder of the lasting values of justice, compassion, and unity that Prophet Muhammad promoted throughout his life.
