Patna, March 4: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday dismissed speculations suggesting that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may resign to file his nomination for the Rajya Sabha. Referring to the rumors, Singh said, “Such jokes are common during Holi. Nitish Kumar ji is our Chief Minister.”

In parallel, a meeting is taking place at the residence of the Bihar Chief Minister, involving JD(U) National Working President Sanjay Jha and State Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary.

JD(U) MLC Sanjay Gandhi also weighed in on the situation, emphasizing that it would ultimately be Nitish Kumar’s decision whether he wants to enter the Rajya Sabha. "The Chief Minister will decide for himself whether he wants to go to the Rajya Sabha or not. Our discussions focused on strengthening the party in preparation for the upcoming elections," Gandhi stated.

On the topic of Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, Gandhi expressed that the party wishes for him to become more active in politics. "The party workers want him to be involved in politics. Nitish Kumar is capable of serving in any position, and the party recognizes his qualifications," Gandhi added.

In the meantime, Bihar Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary arrived at JD(U) National Working President Sanjay Jha's residence in Patna for further discussions. Prior to this, the ongoing meeting between Nitish Kumar, Sanjay Jha, and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary was focused on political developments in the state.
