Tensions explode in the Middle East threatening global fuel

Massive blasts shook Tehran late Monday night, marking the most intense aerial assault since the US-Israel-Iran war began. Terrified residents fled to safety as warplanes roared overhead for nearly thirty minutes, triggering widespread blackouts across western neighbourhoods. Social media quickly flooded with reports of similar strikes hitting other cities across the nation, though official casualty figures remain undisclosed.

Global Energy Markets Face Severe Disruption

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a stern warning in response to the bombings. Military spokespersons declared that Tehran will ultimately decide how this Middle East conflict concludes. More alarmingly, they threatened to completely block all regional oil shipments if military operations persist.

This aggressive ultimatum has deeply rattled international markets, sparking widespread concerns over a severe crude oil price hike. Ordinary citizens are closely watching these developments, as a global oil prices impact directly fuels local anxieties, including the growing Odisha petrol price fear at local fuel pumps. To combat soaring energy costs, the United States is currently exploring emergency sales from its strategic petroleum reserves.

Washington Projects Rapid End To Conflict

President Donald Trump confidently told reporters that the allied military campaign will wrap up shortly. He claimed recent operations, including the deployment of B-2 stealth bombers dropping thousands of pounds of explosives, have completely decimated the Iranian military response infrastructure.

Trump asserted that the Iranian navy currently lies at the bottom of the ocean, highlighting a ninety percent drop in enemy missile launches since the campaign began. He also defended the June 2025 Operation Midnight Hammer, insisting it prevented an imminent nuclear threat against Israel and neutralised long-running dangers in the region.

World Powers Mobilise Diplomatic Efforts

Global leaders are now scrambling to prevent further regional destabilisation. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan directly contacted Iranian leadership, condemning airspace violations while urging a swift return to diplomacy. Meanwhile, leaders from Canada and Qatar are actively coordinating strategies to contain the violence.

Military movements continue as well, with Australia deploying surveillance aircraft and defence missiles to assist the UAE. Despite the heavy fighting, Iranian officials indicate that nations like Russia and China have reached out to broker a potential ceasefire, provided the allied bombardments halt immediately.
