Petrol pump explosion in Bhubaneswar: Family members of missing worker undergo DNA test

Bhubaneswar, Oct 15: Family of Simanchal Parida, a worker engaged in maintenance work during the petrol pump blast in Bhubaneswar on October 7 underwent DNA testing today at Capital Hospital. Parida has been missing since the explosion took place on October 7 while police have recovered body parts from the blast site. As per reports, the samples of Parida’s family members will be matched with that of remains of the body parts. Earlier on Wednesday the investigating team of the petrol pump blast has received the autopsy report. The scientific team had conducted autopsy of 21 flesh pieces collected from the area that took four days. The report revealed that 15 pieces of sample were identified as human flesh while remaining six pieces were animal flesh, said a police source.
