Bhubaneswar, Nov 25: Negligence has proven costly for several government officials, with the state government ordering the suspension of salaries for 91 officers. The action follows a grievance hearing conducted by the Chief Minister.

Those affected include the Cuttack Rural SP, the CMC Commissioner, the Cuttack CDMO, the District Education Officer, the Chief District Veterinary Officer, the Sub-Collectors of Athagarh and Cuttack Sadar, along with several police personnel and other staff.

According to an official directive issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to the Cuttack District Collector, the salaries of all 91 officials for the month of November will remain withheld as part of the disciplinary measures.
