Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: In a tragic incident, Pradipta Kumar Bhoi, a driver for News 7, passed away in a private hospital due to a heart attack. He was admitted three days ago after showing signs of illness, and despite medical efforts, doctors declared him dead at 2 pm on Sunday.

Pradipta, a resident of Bhubaneswar, was a dedicated and beloved member of the News 7 team. He played a vital role in the daily news collection process, driving reporters and camera persons to cover stories. Known for his strong work ethic and helpful nature, Pradipta often said, "Work itself is God," reflecting his commitment to his job.

His sudden death has left his wife, two children, and colleagues at News 7 deeply saddened. Employees across departments paid their respects to him at the office. Executive Editor Deba Narayan Sethi expressed sorrow, remembering Pradipta as not just a colleague, but a true friend.

Pradipta’s final rites will be held in his ancestral village of Balianta, and his passing has left an irreplaceable void in the News 7 family.
