Bhubaneswar, November 4: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the Kalinga Bali Yatra in Paradip on Tuesday, celebrating the state's maritime heritage and the bravery of ancient seafarers.

At the event, CM Majhi announced that Paradip would be developed into a Green Hydrogen Hub, marking a significant step toward sustainable industrial growth in eastern India. Additionally, plans for a new cruise terminal on the Mangala River were revealed, with ₹500 crore allocated for the project.

Majhi also shared that Paradip will soon have a new airport, boosting connectivity by air, road, and water. He highlighted Paradip's transformation into a major hub for industry, commerce, and employment, emphasizing the region's importance in Odisha's economic growth.

The CM described the Kalinga Bali Yatra as a tribute to Odisha's maritime history, when Odia traders built cultural and trade links across the seas.
