Bindra, who won a Gold medal in shooting in 2008 Beijing Olympics, consoled Manu by reminding her that she is too young and has miles to go.

Manu finished fourth in the Women's 25-meter air pistol event, missing the title by a slim margin. Despite this, Bindra praised her efforts as a significant achievement for Indian sports.

In Games 2024, Manu won two of India's three medals, earning a Bronze in the women's individual 10-meter air pistol event. She also won another Bronze in the mixed 10-meter air pistol event with Sarabjot Singh. Her performance made her the first Indian woman to win two medals in a single Games.
