Bargarh, Mar 9: A tragic road accident at Mehena Chhak on the Godbhaga-Mahulpali road in Bargarh district claimed the lives of four people and left two others critically injured.

Reports indicate that six youths were travelling on two motorcycles when they collided with a Bolero vehicle. The impact was so severe that four of the riders died on the spot, while the remaining two sustained serious injuries.

The youths are believed to be from Ghati Jampali village under the Binika police limits in Subarnapur district. The Bolero driver has been detained by police and is being questioned in connection with the incident.

The bodies of the deceased have been kept at a hospital in Burla, where the two injured victims are also receiving treatment.

Authorities at Rushuda outpost have launched a detailed investigation into the accident. The identities of the deceased have not yet been officially released.
