Bhubaneswar, January 6:The Khordha Police have planned extensive security and traffic management measures ahead of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi's visit to Banpur on January 7, 2026.

CM Majhi will be attending the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Godabarisha Mishra Adarsha Prathamika Vidyalaya at Paltan Padia, Banpur, and addressing a large public gathering.

Dr. Satyajit Naik, Inspector General of Police for the Central Range, Cuttack, conducted a review of the security arrangements on Tuesday. He met with the Khordha SP and local police officers to discuss and finalize the arrangements for the event.

The comprehensive security plan includes VIP protection, venue security, crowd control, access management, and traffic regulation. Special attention has been given to ensuring smooth movement of the public and maintaining law and order, with an expected turnout of over 5,000 people.

Additional measures such as increased police deployment, anti-sabotage protocols, medical support, fire services, and traffic diversions have been put in place to handle any unforeseen circumstances. Senior officials will oversee the implementation of these arrangements.

The Khordha Police have urged the public to cooperate with the security personnel and adhere to traffic advisories to ensure a safe and orderly event.
