Paris, Sep 4: The Indian Paralympics 2024 athletes, here have taken the nation's total medal tally to 20, which is one more than the number of medals India won in the previous edition in Tokyo.
Considering the fact that Indian sportsmen at Paris Olympics 2024, could manage only six medals (one Silver and five Bronze), the para-athletes have done a splendid job with 20 medals so far.
Not only Indian sports lovers and people back home, but even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his joy at India's performance at Paris Paralympics. He has congratulated the medal-winning para-athletes and had conversations with them.
Speaking to them from Brunei on Tuesday, PM Modi stated that the nation takes immense pride in their achievements. Modi, who landed in Brunei on Tuesday to mark the first bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the Southeast Asian nation, praised the medal winners in a message through his Instagram.
